At Redwald Home Care, we don't believe in rushed visits or simply ticking off tasks.
We believe in building relationships, providing reassurance, and helping people continue living well in the place they know best: their own home.
Through companionship, practical support, and genuine human connection, we help adults maintain their independence while providing peace of mind to those who care about them.
We're looking for warm-hearted, dependable people to join us as Redwald Companions.
Whether you have previous care experience or are simply someone who naturally cares for others, we'd like to hear from you.
Redwald Home Care currently specialises in companionship and practical support.
This is not a personal care role. We do not currently provide regulated personal care services such as bathing, dressing, or medication administration.
We welcome people from a wide range of backgrounds.
You might have experience in caring, hospitality, teaching, customer service, volunteering, parenting, community work, or simply looking after others in their everyday lives.
You may be newly qualified, returning to work, looking for a meaningful change of direction, have some spare time now that children are at school or left home, or seeking a role that fits around your existing commitments.
Above all, we're looking for people who are:
Kind, patient, and compassionate
Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
Observant and attentive to detail
Good communicators who can build trust with clients and families
Respectful of clients' dignity, independence, and choices
An Enhanced DBS check is required. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as many of our clients live in rural Suffolk communities.
Sharing conversation, companionship, and laughter over a cup of tea. Taking the time to get to know clients, their stories, interests, and what matters most to them.
Supporting clients to enjoy outings and activities, whether that's a visit to the Suffolk coast, a garden centre, a local café, a community group, or simply a walk in the fresh air.
Providing practical support with light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, meal preparation, and other everyday tasks that help people remain independent at home.
Carrying out welfare visits and providing updates to families, particularly when loved ones live further away.
Helping clients maintain confidence, independence, and connection with the people, places, and activities they enjoy.
We believe outstanding care begins with valued carers.
That's why we focus on creating a culture where companions feel respected, supported, listened to, and appreciated.
We're a family-run business serving Mid Suffolk and surrounding communities. We are building something special: a service rooted in compassion, professionalism, and genuine relationships.
Our visits last a minimum of one hour because meaningful support cannot be rushed. You'll have time to build relationships and provide the level of care and companionship clients deserve.
We understand that life doesn't fit neatly into a standard schedule. We work hard to offer hours that complement your lifestyle, family commitments, and other responsibilities.
Lone working can sometimes feel isolating. We invest in training, communication, and team support so that every companion feels confident, connected, and safe.
We offer competitive pay, ongoing support, opportunities to develop, and the chance to make a genuine difference every day.
At Redwald Home Care, you'll help people remain independent, connected, and living well at home.
In return, you'll join a team that values your contribution, respects your wellbeing, and supports you to do your best work.
